Our registration process for our Region 1 USSA races (scored and non-scored) has changed this year.
We are going to use USSA's race registration to sign up for every Region 1 race. You must register each child separately, but you can do it all from your "My USSA" as long as all your athletes are linked to you. This is the ONLY way to register for our races without the possibility of start position being effected. Deadline for registration is Wednesady at midnight the week of the race you want to go to, except for the first race at Buck Hill which is Thursday at midnight. Example: for Buck Hill USSA races Dec 15-16, the deadline is Thursday December 13th at midnight. For the rest of the season it will the Wednesday before at midnight.
1) go to http://www.ussa.org/
2) click on "My USSA" and put in your user name and password
3) click on your athlete that is planning on racing
4) click on "Athlete Event Registration" - down under your Tools
5) search for the race your athlete wants to enter
6) click on the "add to cart" button for the races you want.
**remember for the non-scored races the athletes must register for each run since we hold 2 single run races per day.
7) click on "view cart" once all races are selected.
Right now Buck Hill December 15-16 are the only races that you can register for, but within the next couple weeks all our other races will be up for you to register.
Attached is a detailed page explaining the process.

Anyone can check to see who is registered for our races this weekend by clicking on your "My USSA" at http://www.ussa.org/ . Once you are logged in, you can click on Athlete Event Registration under Tools (same place at member look up, etc). You will need to specify date and resort so the search doesn't take too long. Once the search is finished you can click on any one of the lists by scrolling down then clicking on "list of registered athletes".
Buck Hill Ski Racing Team Update
Another ski season has now begun. We hope to have another successfu year for the Buck Hill Ski Club! Our coaching staff continues to maintain the level of excellence that enabled the team to be awarded the 2008 Ski Team of the Year. The team is proud of the Award and is determined to build on the recognition with more success in the upcoming year. We hope you take a moment to look though our Club's website and find it easy to navigate as well as informative. However, if you have further questions, or if you’re a new member unfamiliar with the program, we encourage you to contact Erich Sailer, Program Director, Colby Lund, Assistant Program Director or Tasha McCrank, Club Administrator.
The Buck Hill Ski Club has adopted a policy to provide information and education to all members on the risks and policies of concussions to its members. The Club suggests that all parents complete Heads Up: Concussions in Youth Sports provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We highly encourage all parents to learn about concussions through this program as well as the additional resources provided below.
